REPORT ON ORDINANCE NO.17 OF 1898.

I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, en-

*An Ordinance to authorise the Appropriation

of a Supplementary sum of Three hundred and sixty-eight

thousand, eight hundred and sixty-nine dollars and ninety

three cents, to defray the charges of the year 1897",

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not

contrary to the Governor's Instructions.
